For any questions relating to a claim, please directly contact the Hiscox claims manager responsible for your file.
Please file a claim immediately as soon as you are aware of it by following the instructions below, especially for liability claims asserted against you.
Steps to report a claim:
You will get a confirmation email that the claim has been submitted successfully. If you didn’t, be sure to check your spam inbox. After submission, the Hiscox claims team will send an acknowledgment email. They will assess the claim, contact you or the client for additional information or documents, and then provide you with the decision on the claim.
Need to come back to the claim?If you already started filing the claim but realized that you still need additional information or documents, don’t worry - you can come back to it by clicking Save Draft.
Need to check the status of the claim?You can directly reach out to the claim manager assigned to the case via email.
The claim is eligible if it pertains to an incident arising from a service you performed on the Fiverr platform and if you are a registered freelancer in Germany.

When an incident occurs, it is strongly recommended that you collect as many details as possible - the more information you provide, the better.

To challenge a liability claim, please make sure to notify the Hiscox claims team immediately after learning about the claim or receiving any court orders or preliminary proceedings notices by following the steps on “How to report a claim?”. Please provide as many details as possible to help the claims team build a defense. Throughout the process, please follow the legal remedies proactively and adhere to Hiscox’s instructions throughout the process.
If a third party has made a successful claim against you for damages, Hiscox will cover the costs of compensating the third party for their financial losses, up to the policy’s coverage limit, minus any deductible specified in your policy. This includes payment for damages as well as legal defense costs associated with the claim. However, if the liability exceeds your coverage limit, you may be responsible for the remaining amount beyond that limit.
Hiscox claims team is responsible for handling claims. Once a claim is reported, Hiscox manages the process, including assessing the claim, coordinating any required legal defense, and providing coverage for valid claims according to the terms of your policy. You are expected to cooperate fully with Hiscox by providing relevant information and following any instructions related to the claim.
